HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!

yo 'sup? my leg muscles are achiiinnnggg. arghhhh. that's the really very undesirable result from walking for nearly three hours plus. ya. went town-ing with pingy, minsy and kelsey after school. on the way, we were like all crapping and fooling around. heh. was laughing like a lunatic. -_-'' our very first stop was fox. bought the racer tops that were on sale. yep. two for sixteen bucks. cheap right? i chose the black and orange. hmm... the two colours complement well with each other. heh. so proud of myself. next, we went chomping at taka's food court. minsy, kelsey and i ordered the noodle thingy. pingy ordered char siew noodles. chomp chomp chomp. after the hearty yummilicious meal, we took escalators after escalators to kino. checked out the comic section. hah. they had the whole lot of collection of Prince of Tennis comics. whoa. was damn excited for no particular reason yeh? heehee. had the damn urge to buy the entire series. it was just too tempting. =D oh well, at least i did grant a part of my own wish by buying one shitass pathetic book which is book three and i have like more than ten books to go before i finish the collection. shoot me now. well, i improved slightly by dropping by popular to purchase two more. satisfied. quite. anyway, back to the point. k. then minsy bought xxx holic 1 and kels bought one too. a comic that suits her a lot. haha. kiddin'. i'll be dead meat if i elaborate any further. -glances about anxiously- chua wanted to buy too but i guess she couldn't find one which satisfies her, erm... expectations? -shrugs- yup. halfway through, kels had to leave for piano class. so it was just mins, pings and me, geks. hoho. walked all the way to heeren. this explains my worn out poor legs. shoosh. anyhoo, mins bought her converse cap and pings and i tried on a few. diaoz. haha. quite fun lar. after buying her cap, mins had to leave too. both of us went around annex finding my rainbow socks. we did find it but it was too freaking expensive. sheeesh. oh well. went action city. godddd.... the piggies are so cute! wanted to buy one but thought it'd be too wasteful. haha. so thrifty right? combed 37 degrees. we practically created havoc in the offer shelf. heh heh. i bought an L shirt. chua bought an M one. heehee. the pics on it are damn cute. (like me) after that, i gladly said bye to town. what a crowded place!

*band playing fanfare* im very glad to announce that this is my official 101th entry in -sumeragi-.blogspot.com. it is something we ought to be proud of. through these two years, you had braved the storms with me, come to visit my blog and took an effort to leave me a message. in the 101 entries, they embody precious, unforgettable memories. they held our daily reports of what happened in school, my own reflections and how i felt at every point of time. i hope that the spirit of blogging will live on and may god bless this blog. amen.

just horsing around. but i thought it'd be interesting to type that chunk out. heh. anyway, this week hasn't been too eventful so i guess there isn't really much for me to talk about. yup. slacked a lot. homework not done and notes not completed. and im now feeling extremely tired. drained. drowsy. beat. -sigh- why is life so hard as a damn student? stress. stress. stress. and the teachers add oil to water by constantly reminding us that our finals are around the corner. bullshit. like we're not stressed enough. 'cher, give us a break! grr. crapz. haven't been doing too well for tests. im a goner. wish me luck for the finals.

grrrrr.... trying to get vanessa but she's not answering the phone!! bah. my eyelids are gonna close any second. oh! did i mention my current obsession? -brightening- yup... it's none other than Prince of Tennis. it's a really captivating and cool anime on earth! im not exaggerating people. love it to bits and pieces. ya. felt like saying it out to let y'all know! heh. till next then! =}

scumilicious or yummilicious? it's CHOCOTASTIC! haha... sorry people, im just being lame. too stressed i guess. had a maths test which i strongly feel that i'd flunk. shit. second test i've flunked in a row. -shrug- went for the DISC thing after school. the guy was like super lame. but it's entertaining and i had a darn good laugh. =D yup. im a high S. cool huh? haha. i think this personality test is damn interesting. learnt alot. yup. went for guides later on and it was until then that i received a really BIG shock. was frantically checking over and over, like some mad woman. haiz. so stressed out. i think i need some chill pills. okaayy... getting lamer by the second, aren't i? oh well. that's something all ya peepz out there have to live with! lol. jokings. anyway... my juniors are kinda sweet today. on the way to the mrt station, i was complaining about my hunger and one of them offered me an apple pie. guess what? i took it! haha. and the other let me have a bite of her burger. that's yummilicious. if she had given me choccies, it'd be chocotastic. anyway... i shall go have my clown sleep now. nightoo!

happy hungry ghost festival! gosh... today's been a stressful and tiring day for me. woke up in the morning feeling grouchy and no matter how much cold water i splashed on my face, i was still sleepy. when i reached school, the first thing i did was read the blasted book- a view from the bridge. gotta mug like hell or else the quotes can't stay in my head obediently. know what i mean? after that, it was a series of furious scribbles after scribbles. you got it, copying answers. im not to blame, people! the chem questions are damn difficult and i dun really understand the concept. oh well, this calls for an intensive mugging session over the weekends. -smile weakly- mug. man... the most feared word in my dictionary. anyway, back to earth. well, on the way to st michs, i thought i'd lost my character analysis notes which was later on to be found under my desk. heehee. had chem pract. basically, selvam just taught us the procedures to take note when we did the real thing after school. yup. boring. did compo during double chinese. wrote a chunk of crap. as usual. recess. not very eventful. did dooty. just stood around, making sure no one cuts queue. after recess, we had ss. had this stupid open book test. wa lao. the book is like damn useless. gave us some alien crap and expect us to answer them?! madness. im gonna fail it. shit. lit ca. -thunder strikes- like any other lit test, there wasn't enough time. i had so much to write but there's just so little time. oh crap. another red mark. a maths. quite okay... not much work to do so i guess it's my favourite period of the day.

chem pract. like hell man. kept making mistakes and re-doing it over and over again. in the end, i think the result i got was a total crap of all craps. haiz... why is my day so sucky? talking about being unlucky, that bloody bernard wants to check ss file and workbook. im in it! my god. i just hope tomorrow's a better day. wish me luck. -crosses fingers-

i dun wanna go school tomorrow. im so damn tired and there's lit test. and im like not very prepared 'cause the quotes can't seem to be registered into my head. i guess my brain's deteriorating. -sigh- seriously, i need a break. oh, like who doesn't? i can't wait for the september holidays to come- rest and da gama gathering. haha. actually, i can't wait for teachers' day to come too. it's a public holiday and that means i can sleep late and REST. oh well. it seems like a long way man. haizzz... must face up to reality. cannot be like catherine, so impractical. okay, enough about lit. didn't i said i want a break? haha.

anyway, attended some leadership crap at beatty's. wa lao. gimme a break man. it's like the most boring course i've been to. and their activities are so not lively. nearly bored me to tears. no offence but i really think they should improve. heh heh. but the food was okay though. love the jelly. yummm. well, guess i shall end here. wanna go check out some fics. see ya tomorrow!

this morning's been a shock man... marianne didn't come to school. she had swollen hands. heh heh... i thought she eloped with eugene or something. just kidding. =P hope she's all right. anyway... today's PE was quite okay, considering the fact that tjl didn't take us today. yeah man! -jumps for joy- well, i can't believe i got over double a maths. shockeRrrr. had a mild headache copying down all his solutions. double a maths is like having some intensive drilling session, like testing our endurance. my god... i thought i'd be dead by the time the bell rings. i literally sighed out loud in relief when the minute hand struck 10. allelujah! okay... i shall stop crapping.

well, went for guides meeting today. wa lao... the weather was like damn hot. collected wallets and stuff and did inspection. lalalala... then overlooked structure. taught them the new knot to tie the lashing. yup...using the obs way. i mean, the knot is damn secure and makes the lashings look neater too and can be hung in the cupboard so that it won't stink up the whole den. lol. oh! heard there'll be a da gama gathering some time during the september break. hmmm... dunno if there's anything going on during that week. i hope not. but i'd be happier if there's one for the convention group. oh well. it's the... same? haha... no idea. okay... gotta go scoop dinner for myself! yummmmm.... dun envy me! =P

zhang feng qi's coming to school tomorrow! heh... big deal. not as if 5566 is coming. chey. oh well. im slacking. i know i should go do some of the structured questions in the stupid physics tys. haiz... guess im fated to succumb to such undesirable temptation, that is, my com. heh. anyway, first day in school after a week of 'holiday'. haha. feels weird. 'cause throughout the day, as i looked at the clock's second hand ticking by, i was recalling what we were doing back in ubin. nuts man. i think i miss obs too much, way too much, especially da gama. haha. sounds lame. anyway... today's been kinda like boring. duh. since when going to school was fun, besides seeing your friends? -shrugz- oh, today we were like all comparing our tans. sadly, mine was one of the lightest. geez. everyone who came back from obs were like chao da people, especially kailing. haha. yup... i should go now. see ya latezz!

sup sup?! heh. surfing around. nothing much for me to do. haizzz... im bored. just finished chinese. yay! and physics too! happpaayyeee.... anyway, yesterday was singapore's 39th birthday. big deal ya. the parade was so bloody boring man. what the hell. i thought they were gonna like change it somehow and make it differently. but nooooo. it's still the same old performances. the choir especially get on my nerves. kao. can't they at least change their stupid apron-like cloths? geez. oh! i was spotting my juniors in the guides contingent but could see none of them. oh well. yup.

alamak wasapa elipala aipupa!!! lol... this has been the nonsensical phrase i've been saying for the past five days in ubin. okay... since im back now, i shall fill y'all in about my eventful trip back in my hometown! take in a deep breath and sit back, dun collapse, and off we we go!!!

2 august
the eve of marianne's birthday. took a bus to punggol jetty where the boats will take us to ubin. we were damn unlucky. it was raining and we had to wear poncho and it was super uncomfortable. we reached camp 1 in less than ten minutes. we walked all the way to the hall where a briefing would be conducted. we took off our ponchos and talked. after that, when everyone was assembled in the hall, one of the instructors announced the watches we were gonna be in. i was in da gama. weird name eh? haha. anyway, was in the same group as michelle and wei xin. whew... at least there are people to talk to. after some crappy briefing, we broke off into our own watches and had 'watch corner'. had a round of introduction and had a picture taken. after that, we set off to camp 2, which implies that our course type was mobile. yep. though i wasn't too thrilled about it, more or less, i kinda quite anticipate what sorta activities we might be having. but of course, it made me feel a bit apprehensive. complicated.

camp 2 was more secluded than camp 1. again, we broke into our own watches and our instructor, steven, gave us a talk about what to expect and stuff. can't really remember. ooops. anyway, after that, he appointed each of us a post. i was the i/c of day 2. yup. then he unlocked the storeroom and let us have a look at all the equipments in it. there are haversacks, mess tins, groundsheets, tents, ponchos, harnesses, helmets and other stuff. next, steven handed the meal list to the food i/cs, michelle and wei xin. yup. we went to collect our food for the five days. man... the amount of food was simply shocking. there was so much of it! heh heh. we sorted them and put the sorted ones into different plastic bags.

we then had fifteen minutes of lunch. yummy. -smacks lips- hmmm... but surprise surprise, my appetite wasn't as big as then during guides traning camp in june. -shrugx- after lunch, our instructor taught us the correct way of folding a tent and putting it in the bag. next was tent-pitching time! yup! something im familiar with. =D however, the knot he uses to peg the tent down was completely different. it is easier 'cause a simple pushing of the knot was needed to make the guidelines taut and tight. yup. we started to pitch our own tents.

after tent-pitching, we did trust fall and the some running thing. and we did belaying too, something that i've never learnt before. i realised that the belayer's job was rather tough. by the time we finished belaying, it was dinner time. we cooked on our own. hmm... the rice was slightly burnt but yummy nonetheless. heh. washed the mess tins and pots and bathed. the toilet was great. not too yucky like what i've imagined. felt refreshed after a cold shower. =D we then had some sorta ij gathering. lol. met steven and we settled down to hear what he had to say. he showed us the items in the medic bag and made us think what 10 rules we'd like to have for da gama. haha. thought of some crappy rues, which of course, were rejected by him. haiz. brushed teeth and slept. the ground was hard but i slept throught the night anyway. i was super drained.

3 august
marianne's birthday. woke up at around six. man... the night before was a noisy one. some sluts were making moaning noises and ugh! disgusting. anyway, washed up and un-pitched the tents under shimmering stars against a velvety navy blanket. went down to the toilet and applied sun-block lotion. yup. we were gonna kayak after breakfast. we put on our life vests and were led by steven to the beach. he showed us the different parts of a kayak and taught us the right way of pedalling. i had some difficulty pedalling but after a while, i got the hang of it. heehee. we then walked towards the sea. the mud was so soft that lifting our feet up was a tiring chore. michelle and cheng hong's shoes were stuck in the mud and couldn't find it. haiz. then we set out! i kayaked with michelle. had lotsa fun but tiring at the same time. after a few hours of pedalling, we washed the kayaks and pedals. went back to change and wash up. then came lunch. after lunch, steven taught us how to pack our stuff into the haversack. we packed. goshhh... it was goddamn heavy. i couldn't even stand up. had to have someone help me. my shoulders were damn painful. we then set off for our land expedition with our buddy watch, armstrong. the walk was energy-consuming. we stopped at the reservoir and did the rescue thingy. after that, we set off again. this time round, the walk was much moare bearable. the ij people walked in one big group and started crapping and talking nonsense and started singing too. haha. tiredness was temporarily being forgotten. we were walking so fast that we had to stop for others to catch up. the instructors were like saying that the others behind are feeling demoralised 'cause we were walking so darn fast. lol. we continued and talked cock again and marianne was like saying i've got verbal diarrhoea in front of my instructor. shit man. after god knows how long, we reached camp 1. the armstring i/c and i followed steven who showed us where the toilet was located and where to get him.

pitched our tent and cooked dinner. while dinner was being cooked, i missed singapore suddenly. haha. 'cause the idea of having a few more days ahead before we could go home was depressing. the heavy haversacks and the long walks were enough to tire me out. after washing the mess tins, we bathed. the queue was damn long and one daughter of a bitch was taking like forever to finish bathing. selfish pig. after that, i went to gather everyone and told them to meet in front of the falg poles. i went up to get steven. then we gathered around and played the animal game. it's something like the concentration game. yup. after that, lights out.

4 august
woke up at six again and did the usual stuff. after breakfast, took helmets and harnesses and assembled in front of the flagpoles. because we wer all looking listless, the instructors made us play the colour game. damn crappy man. after that, walked slop after slope to the structure. the instructors demonstrated the climbing thingy and we then took turns to belay one another. wa kao. i was like damn scared when i was about to cross the log. haha. had debrief and went all th way down to change into our wet attire. mine was quite dry. -beams- carried our haversacks and tents and we were off to navigate our way to camp 3. the walk was about 5km. yup. damn tiring. the campsite was far from decent. it's near a beach and we couldn't use pegs. used rocks instead. then we had rafting. it was super shiok. jumped into the quarry one by one. haha. hopped onto the raft and started pedalling. saw a monk meditating on the cliff. lol. after that, untied everything and kept them all in the shed. jumped into the quarry again to 'shower'. next, went to change. bloody hell man. the 'changing room' had SO many sandflies. ugh. anyway, cooked dinner and admired the night sky. the shimmering sequins against the velvety navy blanket was simply breathtaking. woohoo. i was like saying 'if i were to catch a star for everytime you make me smile, the entire evening sky would be in the palm of my hand'. sweet right? lol. anywayzzz, we sat on the blue tub and shared ghost stories.

5 august
last night. hiked back to camp 2 where we did rock-climbing and flying fox. i failed to climb to the top of the wall. haiz. damn difficult man. pgls. flying fox was damn thrilling. but the climb to the top platform was tiring. and i was quite petrified when i looked down from the top. heh. after that, washed every equipment and stuff. cooked dinner and bathed. told ghost stories and slept.

6 august
last day in ubin. basically, we kept everything neatly in the storeroom and washed and sunned the tents. bought souvenirs and cleaned the grass patch. at about one plus, we had reached the mainland. hooray! lol. had lunch at hougang mall.

yup... that's about it. obs is like a new learning chapter of my life. learned a lot, like endurance and teamwork. im so glad i've got this chance. one word to describe this: FANTASTIC!!!!
