mundane. monotonous.
the two 'M' words that bring tears to your eyes as you try to stifle that unsightly yawn, WHICH tends to escape out of your mouth no matter how hard you want it to stay as inconspicuous as possible. oh wellies. just some thoughtless ramblings. haha.
today's as normal as it should be. not dull. just... normal. woke up at 8.45 in the morning, brushed my teeth and ate sausage mcmuffin for breakfast. watched flintstone kids and some other senseless cartoons. lols. seriously. that was how bored i was. haha. completed my chem tutorials 3 and 4. did try to figure partial fractions out but... -shakes head- i shall make an effort to ask around tomorrow. but anyhoo, i felt quite accomplished 'cause i did my chem=D lols. alright, enough 'bout today.
went to my ah gong's house. sigh. my aunt is soooo predictable. i mean the first words that came out of her mouth the moment she saw me.
'oh my, so are you taking your a levels this year?''erm no. im a jc1 student.''wahhh, in jc already?' -motions to my cousin- 'eh she's in jc already! and we still think she's the little girl! wahhh, so fast.'sighhh. really. do aunts and uncles have to say exactly the same things every year? one of my aunts told me i grew taller. please. i've stopped growing since sec three. sigh. but it's quite amusing in a way=P lols. left the house at 2.15 to meet sama, chua, brandon and his friends for movie in town. bought tickets for 'cheaper by a dozen 2'. 'cause the movie was starting only at 7.25, we decided to go play some pool. but unfortunately, my contacts were annoying me. so my eyes were very painful and had to take them out. and the thing is i didn't have my container nor did i have my glasses. so it was quite a trouble. went to guardian to buy the solution with the container. took my lenses out. and i was 'blind' for the next few hours.
so i didn't play any pool. just sat there with chua and sama, gossiping. lols. i decided not to watch the movie 'cause my right eye was quite painful. haha. brandon 'refunded' the ticket money to me. haha. thanks man. i was reluctant to take it 'cause it's my problem that i didn't want to watch the movie. but oh wells. he insisted so yeah. -shrugs-
school's starting tomorrow. sigh.

my eyes are closing themselves soon. anyway, it's been a long day at my gran's and goddad's. nothing much to do there. so it was like really boring, except in the afternoon when my cousin came. oh well. but it was a good thing i had brendan to chat with. via sms. or the day would be unbearably boring. haha. i LOVE collecting red packets. makes me feel rich. lols. okay, im going to get some shut-eye. damn sleepy.

wow, today's cny eve already? gosh. it's so unbelievable that time passes by so quickly. lols. anyhow, yesterday was one thrilling day man. enough to make an imprint in my li'l brain=P okay, let's start at the beginning:
met vanessa and grace at tp interchange and we went to macs to find kailing and yufang. chua came, then ngminjia. sopheara was next, followed by sama. we walked all the way to ij. well, it's a funny thing why i was unable to appreciate the smallest, most trivial things you can see as you pass by ntuc, the value dollar shop, etc. the cashiers, the customers, people in general. the crazy throngs of people in ntuc, blah. that one seemingly insignificant walk to school was indeed nostalgic. it had been ages since i had last walked through the void deck to the tp site. four years, i think. i can still remember going by that way to the interchange after a tiring day of syf/ndp practice, carrying my blue cooler. haha. so many so many things that can't be replayed. we were stopped by the security guard at the main gate. haha. he thought we were latecomers. lols.
father michael was the celebrant of the cny mass. haha. i love masses. missed them too. but i'd never thought of them as something worth remembering. perhaps familiarity breeds contempt. sang the hymns, a sight that was rare for the last four years in ij. oops. lols. do people have to start to learn to appreciate things only when they are no longer there?
wells, the concert was brief and (to my disappointment) a little boring. took pictures of the new teachers singing and some dog parade. goddd, the siberian husky was sooooo adorable! -squeals- saw some of my juniors and teachers=D left ij at around 10.30. took 142 to sajc. we were all fretting over how to get into the school. 'cause the side gate was locked. wth. decided to go by the sas gate after hearing that it's always open. so we ran. through the slope, the sas canteen. the sas people were like 'eh ij girls!' and 'what are ij girls doing here?'. lols. it was quite hilarious. met a group of sajc people with some sas crashers. well, turned out that the security guard at the bridge refused to let us in. freak.
so we had to walk every miserable step to the sajc main gate. damn exhausting man. and the bloody guard refused to let us in too. i called my ct and he came to our rescue! haha. he wasn't the only one. ngminjia's ogl and a house council member came too. lols. ran to the cc. whew. we made it on time. haha. the band just started with their performance. and it was the first item. so yeah. we were pretty lucky=D the concert was great. lols.
but the carnival was pathetic, though. rotted away. crapped away. lame-d away. went for lunch at mos with chua, kailing and yufang (met her there). at around 3.45, i went home. slept for half an hour. was damn tired.
met eileen, yonghui and his sas friends for dinner at pepper lunch. i seriously suck at cooking. the steak was super tough. haha. but it was alright. eileen and i bought a small birthday cake for yonghui. haha. yups. oh that reminds me...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YONGHUI!!!he was damn shocked=P malcolm and hooper chased him around, with the perverse desire to smear cake on his face. lols. and onhz (his friends call him that) was just the 'helper'. in the end, three of them were covered with traces of chocolate on their faces. lols. after that little fracas, decided to walk aimlessly down orchard road. eileen and i were damn lame. we saw this super tall caucasian and we kept jumping up and down to reach his height. lols. funnnnyyyy.
yups. so that was all. oh and thanks yonghui! for the cuuuuttee glow-in-the-dark piggie. haha.

cross-country today. met slyvia, chua and kais at tp interchange at 6.45. lols. yups. we were supposed to take 157 to macritchie for the run. met up with my cg outside the toilet. took attendance and stuff.
chengen, limin, eileen, wenhui and i WALKED together. lols. i know i know. we're hopeless slackers. haha. we started to run when we reached the highway. wells, it was quite an accomplishment=) AT LEAST we ran. okay? prize-giving session was boring. wth. the venn people are soooo not enthusiastic please. sigh. i don't really care anyway. lols. oh and i FINALLY talked to my cousin. well, it turned out that she didn't recognise me. so... haha. it was interesting. haha. showing each other our eye candies. lols.
went to k-pool with my og. haha. what an enjoyment=D on the way to town, that john francisco was so annoying. he kept suan-ing me, saying that im damn lame. blah blah blah. and then he bluntly said that i would be left on the shelf. honestly, i was SUPER pissed off. though i didn't make it seem too obvious. anyway, his words don't matter. haha. damn mean. but see who's the mean one here.
accompanied yonghui while he helped his brother buy a new shirt. my legs were damn tired. anyway, he bought this white-and-brown shirt from topman. after that, we just sat at the white benches outside daniel yam. and i found out that no one sleeps as early as me. lols. yonghui and hooper were damn lame. they pretended to look sleepy. yups. that's to make me sleepy too. lols. they wanted to see how long i could last. wth. went to coffeebean. this friend of eileen's called me geisha. hell. i swear my name is damn scandalous. lols.
oh wells. anyway, things went quite smoothly today. no awkwardness, no nothing. though i still feel bad about yesterday. i mean... he's really nice and everything. but you know, i don't feel that way towards him. i really hope im not misleading him.
sigh. at least we're still friends. but it's kinda different.
my throat hurts. like hell.

i seriously think i shouldn't have cut my hair. it looks so weird now. sigh. i prefer my previous hairstyle. if not for my fringe, i would've just let it be. annoying. and NOW my fringe is too short for my own good. sighhh. i look like some geek with thick glasses. and i HATE my new specs. they make me look nerdier than before. pgls. oh wells. i still have my contacts. just hope i don't break them. -crosses fingers- haha. anyways, im quite proud to say that i've completed my chem tutorial. not my math though. oops. nvm.
god. tomorrow is gonna be one long weary day. i can feel it. the can't-be-avoided drowsiness, the minute hand with a pathetic speed of one metre per hour. arghh. i'll go bonkers soon. shall make a reservation at hougang chalet.

im so dead. im supposed to do my tutorials. and so what the hell am i doing at blogger.com? seriously, i should focus and do my work. sigh. easier said than done. jeez. and it does not help thinking that i've to go to sopheara's hostel to finish up the cny poster. time-wasting man. and as usual, my head is bloated and i think it's going to explode soon. SOON. 'cause im not getting any answers that i want. what am i going to do now? wait? what else can i do? oh wells. just hope there won't be much cleaning-up to do. i suck at that. and the last thing i'd like to have is a broken friendship. i wanna scream!!!
i'll pretend im clueless. i'll pretend i've never heard anything. i'll pretend im still in ij.

arghhh. im feeling damn drowsy now. the eyebags under my eyes are getting heavier and heavier. i've been going out almost every day this week. and my mum is nagging at me for not coming home for dinner. haha. oops. but i'll start to mug next week, do all my tutorials on time and stay home for dinner. haha. oh that reminds me, im supposed to do my physics, math and chem tutorials. my god. i think i'll just collapse onto the floor and die. DIE. anyways, school was alright today. no, not because today's my birthday. well anyway, we had chapel in the morning. it's kinda weird. i think i prefer cathechism (no idea how to spell that) back in ij. i dunno. it just seems weird to me. then had to collect drawing papers for the poster competition. damn lame. jeremy and shiwei traced the outline of the dog using the ohp and the rest helped to tear the angbaos into small pieces. it's good to see that s03 is quite bonded. im starting to like my cg. yay. improvement=D the rest of the day was quite slack, though i was sleepy throughout every lesson that seemed to last for a century. wth. damn tired=(
met up with my og friends after submitting the t-shirts money to the sc. as usual, they couldn't decide where to go for lunch. food court? macs? mos? bk? -shakes head- incorrigible. haha. but that's what makes them loveable=D so in the end, they decided on food court at ps. and it took like 15 minutes? -shrugs- walked with them to potong pasir station. that yong hui was super annoying. kept wanting to give me and eileen hooper's number. wth? like im so interested. lols.
met zilly at city hall station. but then we went to ps for lunch. saw my og friends- limin, chengen, eileen, brendan and yonghui. haha. zilly was damn nice. she treated me a cup of fruit juice- watermelon with green apple=) met meows at city hall station. walked every miserable step to suntec. we were like walking damn fast please. 'cause we were going to be late for the movie.
anyways, geisha was great. love the movie. it's so philosophical and all.
we chose to be geisha not because we want to pursue our destinies.we chose to be geisha because we have no choice. it's heartrending. the poignancy of the whole movie just really touched the very bottom of my heart. loved it=D lots of things were running through my mind during the movie. wells, just things. things i don't wish to think about. 'cause it's just really vexing and confusing. i dunno. i just hope they'll disappear right before my very eyes. sigh. im too tired to think anyways. no mood for that.
after the movie, met adels and baichi outside thai express at citylink. hams came afterwards. talked and ate. sigh. i miss ij and guides. miss those days when everybody is so carefree and everything. sigh. oh wells.

these past two weeks have been enjoyable so far in sa. well, at least it was better than i thought it was going to be. after orientation, i'd expected time in school to pass by really slowly. but surprisingly, it was the opposite. time FLIES. escpecially so with my og. we had lotsa fun, laughter, lame jokes, etc etc. and i guess the best thing is finding your good friends in a totally new environment. well, got along really well with chengen (from kc) and limin (from mgs). perhaps because we are all from all-girls school? -shrugs- anyways, it's really easy to talk with them, laugh with them, exchange lame jokes. though it's always just limin and i. lols. oh and found out that brendan (same og, from sji) and i have quite a lot in common. haha. and yonghui (sas) is really really lame. it's damn cool. to think that i can actually get along fairly well with guys. yups. im so proud of myself. haha. whatever=P
anyway anyway anyway, og outing yesterday was G-R-E-A-T. after math lecture, we had a 'heated' debate over where we should go for lunch. at first, we decided on fish and co. but brandon and khalid wanted to go someplace cheaper. yup. they won. had lunch at long john's at ps. lols. limin cracked this totally-not-funny joke about long john. 'cause there's this guy called john who went with us for lunch. and so she thinks it's ironical because the not-very-tall john's going to long john's. okay. damn lame please.
pool was fun. though (according to the guys) my bridge was very unstable. fine. i have short fingers. happy? lols. had dinner at fish and co. took lots of pictures=D oh it was khalid's birthday=D
ok im feeling damn tired. part 2 will be out in a few days' time. like who cares? haha.

arghhh... i hate my cg! they are all sooo damn quiet please=( sigh... never mind, maybe it takes time to warm up a little. haha. the lectures today were all right. but the physics lecture was really greek to me. i sorta just 'blanked out' throughout the whole one hour. it was horrible. i think im going to give physics up and take bio instead. yay.
anyway, the cca walk today was really tiring. y'know, with all the crowds of people and everything, it gets kind of frustrating. haha. i signed up for vball and interact club. played vball for awhile. fun=D after that, chengen and i stood outside LT2 listening to the band. whoa... cool. then one of the band people told us we could go in and we were like 'YAY!'. haha. the short movie was hilarious. lols.

brrr... it's freezing cold today. in fact, it's been this way since last week. the gloomy weather does sorta cloud over your day, doesn't it? im NOT proud to say that i've done nearly nothing the whole of today. i've been close in contact with my dear tube since nine in the morning. but it was not really time-wasting, though. 'cause MTVsea showed 'diary of backstreet boys' and some of their music videos=D i swear they are the best ever.
i love backstreet boys. i LOVE backstreet boys. I LOVE BACKSTREET BOYS.
okay, im nuts. but who cares. haha. we were supposed to have og outing today. but i think something cropped up and we postponed it. haha. kinda glad 'cause i was damn tired and the weather is real gray. sigh. it's going to be a long day tomorrow. cca tryouts and everything.

ij open house was F-U-N. though it was quite a last-minute thing. i bathed and walked (briskly) in record time and was able (miraculously) to reach the control station at the appointed time. -smiles- met a number of my juniors. arghh. miss them sooo much. ij too. i miss the bell and everything about ij. -sobs- yes, jc life has its own enjoyment and everything but it's nonetheless completely different from ij. it's this really unique factor about ij that makes the school stands out from the rest. so im still trying to get accustomed to life in jc.
found out from some of my juniors that there are lots of changes in the new campus. for example, the school has adopted the homeroom system. that is, the girls have to move from classroom to classroom for different subjects. can you imagine that? i don't think i like the idea. i was always complaining about the trouble of having to walk from st raph's block to the physics lab. goodness. it's going to get worse when the weather turns warm. oh wells. i guess there are some commendable points about the new system, eh? hmmm. but i think it's quite cool. y'know, it's so american-ish. lols. sigh... i miss ij=(
lectures start tomorrow. wells, i have like 2 hours of free time=D heh heh. having og outing at the school's caf for breakfast. haha. quite retarded. i think i'll miss orientaition. lols. sigh. hope everything goes well tomorrow.

im so tired i can hardly close my eyes. okay, what kind of logic is that? oh wells. today was better than yesterday (though the price to pay is quite hefty). in the morning, we were entertained by the item put up by the councillors. it was hilarious=DD had a good laugh. then we proceeded to a LT where it stinks like... like... unwashed socks. had tribe's time there. the tribe (chua, ngminjia and i are in aruba) leaders taught us three cheers for games and the finale on friday. it was great. lol. oh and we played this really lame game called the 'biggest...' etc. you know what i mean? so i was called by my ogl to participate. well, it turned to be 'who has the biggest mouth' by stuffing marshmallows in our mouths. yes. gross. can you imagine having three marchmallows in your mouth and you can't chew them? it was disgusting. lols. but we had fun=D
a stations game called csi ensued right after tribe's time. it was- surprisingly- enjoyable. cheered and everything. i think our og won three games. haha. had lunch. i tried the hokkien mee in caf. sucks. bleah. the two ny girls in our og came up with a cheer, which is good. lols. so we learnt it. yay=D at 12.45, we went to the hall for mass dance. it's the sa traditional dance, lindy hop. okay, i totally don't know how to spell it. hee. we had to like dance with the opposite gender. so ya. it was quite awkward at first. lols.
anyway, the dance steps made me perspire like leaking waterpipe. okay, im exaggerating. cheers, college hymn, blah blah. sigh... tomorrow will be an even longer day. until 5.15pm. arghhhh... so sleepy now. wellsss, shall go turn in now. night=)

im dead tired now. not that today's orientation was extremely exhausting and all. it's the unfamiliarity and the first-day-of school blues that makes me sooooo tired=( but today was fine. when i first stepped into the school, i was like 'what the hell am i doing here?'. wasn't i supposed to be in ijtp? there was just this ominous feeling brewing in my head. it felt odd, weird, strange. then we went to check our og (orientation group) and found out we were all in different groups. and so we were really nervous. you know, new stuff just makes you jittery. we proceeded to the culture center where a briefing was conducted. we had to sit according to our og. so... ya. nervous. lols. the council tried to 'rah-rah' us but we were all too sleepy to really make an effort to be enthusiastic. haha.
we had icebreakers in the hall. the typical types. the people in my group are alright. better than i thought. i mean, at least they
talk. i talked to this girl from fairfield methodist. she's nice. most importantly, she's LAME. lols. yay! another lame-sucker=D the food in sajc is SO much better than the one at st mike's and st raph's. the chicken rice was great=D so the rest of the day was passable, and ended with a cheer session. the college song is alright. but i still think ij school song is the BEST. -smiles-
sigh... another round of more vigorous activities will ensue the next day. and i hope it won't be disastrous. especially the mass dance. holy cow! lols.
and im going to make an effort to talk to my cousin=)

02 jan 2006???!!!OH MY GOD! what the hell?! the holidays are over? where's the long awaited honeymoon the end of Os promised us? what in the world is 2006 doing here at all our doorsteps? goshhh... that means nightmare is nearing. i can feel it... it's so close... so close... arghhh... noo! sigh... orientation, new people, books, tests, exams, etc etc. new. hate that word. of course, anything not related to school is exceptional=X im sooo dreading tomorrow. i mean, for the past four years, i've gotten used to ij- the teachers, the mosquitoes, the squirrels, ms tan. it's going to take some time to re-settle in a starkly different environment. sigh... all of a sudden, i miss ij. -sobs- oh wells, change is part of our lives, right? yes, i shall view it as a new set of challenges for me to overcome and embrace it with open arms. woo-hoo!! i can't wait for exams! tests! c'mon, gimme more assignments please!! bring it on, sajc!
